Write for Us

Interested in writing for the blog? We are constantly looking to add new talented writers to our team who are continuously connected to the music industry and can hammer out a pretty sweet article.

Why write for us?

We’ve been publishing articles since March 2009 and are growing readership on a monthly basis. Being a spotlighted writer can build a name for yourself both in the music and publishing industries – all your posts will be tagged as written by you, they’ll contain a short author bio, and will be linked back to your individual bio page which is, you guessed it, about YOU. All you have to do is provide the content; we do the rest.

Below we’ve outlined what is involved. Pretty simple, right?

The Process

  1. Be confident that you can publish one (1) article on a weekly basis.
  2. Contact us explaining your desire to join our team of writers. Additionally, please include what topics you will cover; recording technology, website management, behind the scene of concerts, etc..
  3. We’ll then get back to you with details on how to register and set up your account to reviewartists.com
  4. Once signed up, we’ll give you the appropriate privileges so you can begin writing.
  5. Each week you’ll write an article, submit it for review, and it will be reviewed by a team member for publishing. If there are problems, we’ll let you know ASAP – formatting changes will be done by our team if we need to make adjustments.

Post Requirements

  • Your articles will be published on the same day each week, submitted 48-hours in advance
  • One (1) new post per week
  • At least 500 words per post
  • Posts must be written in English
  • Generally good formatting and grammar (we’ll edit as needed)
  • Each post is unique and only seen/used on reviewartists.com
  • Engage with our community – you’ll likely receive comments on your posts and we strongly encourage you to engage with the readers, and they’ll appreciate it.

Side Notes
  • If you aren’t interested in writing on a weekly basis but instead on random occasions, you may still contact us. Be sure to mention you’re interested in being a “Guest Writer” in your message.
  • You don’t have to worry about SEO (meta titles, descriptions, etc.) as we will handle that to ensure proper usage. If you understand SEO, feel free to give it a whirl before submitting your post for review.
  • To help get readership on your posts, we recommend sharing on networks yourself such as Facebook and Twitter, even though we share each post as well. You never know of your friends and followers will re-share your article.
  • We can’t allow everyone to be a spotlighted writer so don’t take it personally if we don’t bring you on board.
